Privacy Policy

Effective September 9, 2026. This policy describes the current Clew website and its introductory readings.

Who handles your information

Clew is operated by 디스틸, a business in South Korea. The representative and privacy contact is 박성일. Our contact details are below and on the Contact page.

Business phone: +82 70 8065 1516 (South Korea).

Written inquiries: 디스틸, Unit 228, 2F, 19 Teheran-ro 20-gil, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea.

What the website receives

  • Reading inputs: your birth date, birth time or unknown-time choice, selected birth city and, when necessary, which occurrence of a repeated local time applies.
  • City searches: the search words you enter to find a supported city.
  • Technical information: hosting and security systems may process IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information and response status to deliver and protect the website.
  • Support information: information you choose to provide when you contact us, including contact details and the contents of your request.

The current website does not require an account, collect payment-card details, or request your name, gender, photograph or identity documents to produce a reading.

Your optional account

You can sign in with Google. Google shares your account identifier, email address and basic profile information with our authentication provider, Supabase. Supabase stores your account and authentication records so you can sign in again. We do not receive your Google password.

Essential session cookies keep you signed in. You can sign out from My Clew. Your account and any point balance are stored in our Supabase project in the United States until they are no longer needed or you request deletion, subject to records we must retain for legal or transaction obligations. Current introductory readings are not saved to your account.

How readings are processed

Your inputs are sent in a secure HTTPS request to our calculation endpoint. The application uses them in memory to calculate the chart and return the result. It does not write birth inputs or personal readings to a database or application log, put them in a URL, or save them to browser storage.

The browser keeps the active form and result in page memory so you can edit details or switch topics. Reloading the page clears the result. API responses are marked not to be cached. Your browser, device and network still have their own operating behavior outside our application’s control.

Interpretations are selected from our writing rules. Birth details are not sent to an AI model, advertising service or external geocoding provider. City lookup uses a directory hosted with the application.

Why information is used

We use information to provide the reading you request, find a birth city, resolve support requests, protect the service and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Service providers and international processing

Vercel hosts the website and processes requests through its infrastructure, including servers outside your country and outside South Korea. Supabase provides account authentication and our PostgreSQL database in the United States. Google provides the optional sign-in service. Cloudflare provides domain registration and DNS for tryclew.com; our current DNS-only setup sends website requests directly to Vercel.

Service providers may maintain technical records under their own service settings and retention practices. We do not control every infrastructure log. Information you send through a phone, postal or email service is also handled by that communication provider.

Storage, retention and sharing

The application keeps no persistent birth profile or personal-result record. Technical records may be retained by the hosting provider for service operation and security under its configured retention periods. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle the request, resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.

The reflection-copy feature copies only the result heading and reflection question. It does not include birth details or the full chart. Any information you voluntarily post elsewhere is subject to that destination’s practices.

Cookies and analytics

Clew uses essential authentication cookies when you sign in, including cookies used to complete the sign-in securely and maintain your session. We do not currently install advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Infrastructure providers may use measures necessary to operate and secure their services. We will update this policy before materially changing the website’s tracking features.

Your choices and requests

You can stop before submitting birth information, use the unknown-time option, clear the active result by reloading, and contact us about any support information you previously provided. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information, and to complain to a relevant data-protection authority.

Contact us to exercise an applicable right. We may need to verify your request without asking for more information than necessary. We cannot retrieve a birth profile the application never stored.

Adults and policy changes

Clew is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Do not submit a child’s personal information. If you believe a child’s information was sent to us, contact us so we can investigate any retained correspondence or technical records we can access.

We will update the effective date when this policy changes. Material changes in collection or use will be described before the relevant new feature is offered.
